Childrens Driving Experiences in Northamptonshire, Midlands

It’s your first time in the driver’s seat, and you’re driving on the private roads around Rockingham. You’re within touching distance of the UK’s fastest race circuit, and it’s you behind the wheel. You concentrate hard; focus on the road ahead, your instructor guiding you all the while. This is so good so incredible. And when it finally ends, you’re filled with thoughts of your own car, your own independence. Soon you’ll be old enough, very soon. But for now you just smile

Even youngsters can discover the thrill of driving at Rockingham. Here, young people from 12 to 16 years old can get behind a steering wheel for the first time in safe, controlled conditions with an ADI instructor who will teach them the rudiments of driving. This experience is all about helping young learners to make the most of that crucial first drive – to learn more, to experience more and to have much more fun, too.

FORMAT:

• Briefing: 30 mins (Format of experience/techniques)
• Instructor Demo: 10 mins
  Drive time: 45 mins
• De-brief: 15 mins (Q and A, Certificate Presentation)
• TOTAL TIME: 3 hours
  (The length of the driving time is approximate and should be used as a guide. Please note that the car is shared between 3 drivers. All drivers are in the car together and take turns to drive.)

How To Get There
Exit A14 at Junction 7 on to A43 'Kettering/Corby/Stamford'. At roundabout take A6003 'Corby/Oakham'. Continue over the next two roundabouts (second has BP garage) still on A6003, then right at next towards Corby and follow signs to the Rockingham circuit.

The Availability
Our operational days run from May to November. There will normally be two operational days per month; normally these will take place on Saturdays with occasional weekdays

Spectators
Friends and family are welcome as spectator and catering facilities are excellent, and we have some exciting pay on the day activities (subject to availability). Dogs are not allowed.

Numbers On The Day
There will be between 1 and 25 other people taking part in the session.

Dress Code
Long sleeve shirts, long trousers and light flat-soled shoes are required.

Other Information
Participants and a parent are required to sign a disclaimer before taking part. An adult must accompany children.
